I seem to remember seeing that the seats run on plasic bearings and when these get worn they are unable to move, always used to just wrag the seat about a bit and it would free it up, not the correct ... |

A service will hep your consumption but there could be other things wrong.
I'd do a service then if it doesnt improve i'd get a diagnostic done.

Its probably just your engine trying to explode, thats what happens when you have it screaming its tits off trying to go "70"...lol
