I deal with slightly bigger Exide batteries everyday at work, I would never spend my money on one of there automotive products.

Automotive battery = Varta everytime.

So would you suggest swapping for a bosch s5? As they have those for around £8 more?

I went for the Exide as it had the largest CA there.

Well even with a brand new 640CA battery it still turns over 3-5 times before starting. Sometimes i need to turn the key back off then try again and it starts on 2nd turn.

Is there anything else you could suggest, as the new battery seems to make no difference.

Would the fact that its due a service make any difference? Should I try the glow plugs?
