Hey Guys,

Bought this little GTI at Auction at the end of 2015, it was declared a write off because of underside damage.. although i couldnt find any damage.. so i got it really cheap.

Pic shows it with its factory wheels, the rally wheels are 14's off another Peugeot.

The car has been stripped of anything not required and i have been Khanacrossing it in 2016, actually lead the championship for a while until i had to miss some meets because i was getting married.

Khanacross is small rally stages without a navigator, no cage required as speeds are 'meant' to be controlled by the track layout.

The Pug has been lowered in the back, find that helps with how unstable the back end is when cornering. It runs Rally tyres and is mechanically stock.

I have just started to Delete the A/C from it as its extra weight i dont need, although it does help in summer waiting between stages!

She does have afew issues though, which i would like to get sorted before my 2017 season starts in May, It backfires through the throttle body when the accelerator is mashed, i find i have to feed it on and keep the revs up to stop it from doing that, i've cleaned the TB and sensors into it and no difference, its running the factory air filter setup etc too.

It also has a weird whine to it, starts 2-3 seconds after the car starts, rises and falls with revs, its not a slipping belt, its not the tensioner its not the idler, i've bypassed the a/c compressor which only leaves the alternator or the power steering pump, although i have no other noises with the power steering pump i suspect the alternator.

Its great fun to drive, i have afew videos on youtube of me trying to race it on the dirt, our first event out ended in a DNF as i nose dived off a jump at 90kph... that hurt.. Both me and the car.

Looking forward to a good year in it!

Haha, i used duplicolors custom wrap, in spray cans it turned out quite well and when i want to change it i can just peel it off.

Found my whine to be from the alternator, so i'll have to look at sourcing another one.
