Im actually hoping to update this in a few days with some good news but so far I have had a real struggle with my daughters 2007 206 1.4 petrol.
Its low mileage at 36k, driven regularly etc but it was cutting out now and then until it stopped completely while driving about 3 weeks ago and hasn't started since.
I had hoped a quick fix was plugs and coil pack and ensure the battery was fully charged as it was showing Eco Mod....no start.
Only fault code I could see was for a misfire on injector 4 but I don't have a PP2000
I checked the timing belt and did a compression test - 210-220psi on all 4
I put 12v onto the fuel pump and its delivering 50psi to the fuel rail so I assume thats ok as long as it gets a signal.
I removed the fuel pump and all looks clean and the tank is 3/4 full.
I removed the ECU and had that checked by the ECU doctor in Plymouth but they have said no faults exist. They confirmed the only fault code stored is the misfire on injector 4.
A noid light test on the injectors shows no power or flashing light.
So.....while I wait for the ECU to come back, I am going to change the crank sensor as a last ditch effort before removing the BSi?
If anyone can suggest anything I am not covering I would be very grateful and.....hopefully I can report back that I fixed it!!!

You do know due to a Peugeot / Citroen quirk with cylinder numbering that injector number 4 is the TIMING BELT end of the engine.
This will have a fly be wire throttle on it & the throttle body is a known issue plus it controls the engine idle speed.
Don't worry about ECO MOD - that will disappear once the engine is running.
If you can get hold of someone with Peugeot Planet or Diagbox to scan the car that would be a big help.
Not replaced the factory radio recently or had the key apart?

Thanks for your reply (sorry for the delay in responding, I am overseas for a month working in Africa) and that means my daughter is swanning around in my car so I need this thing back on the road asap! haha
I was lazy and checked the easy one, with is the timing belt end.....on the left as you look at the engine.
So, the throttle body connector could be at fault you mean or the mechanics of the flap etc?
Nothing has been changed with the radio and I haven't suspected the key yet, as it does lock and unlock the doors and the dash beeps if I leave the key in and open the door?
Agree i need to mind a mobile electrician with PP2000 but struggling to get anyone in Scotland to respond to emails!

Could you give a bit more detail on this symptom and anything that stood out(i.e. cut out after certain actions, time, temp etc)

Its a low mileage car, in reasonably good condition.....its a mystery so far

#8: Re: Another 206 not starting saga Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Mon Jul 15, 2019 6:51 am ---- As MrBSI said earlier, it wouldn't hurt to check the throttle body, even in the old 8v it was known for the 206 to cut out when these became clogged with deposits.
Assuming the electronics are okay, it's surprising the difference cleaning as much of the air hoses / butterfly as possible makes.
Symptomatically, this would manifest itself as cutting out whilst slowing down.

I agree with inspecting the air intake and throttle body to look at any deposits or if the butterfly is even operating correctly
Like Andrew says, bad earth could cause havoc. Give the wiring and throttle a good looking over and let us know if you find anything

I couldnt get any local garages to help me out and couldnt get a reply from a mobile auto electrical tech. So, I ended up buying PP2000 and got a laptop plugged into it, went throught he full diagnostics check an narrowed it down to the underbonnet fuse box! Bought a unit off of Ebay and also had to recheck the terminals on the fuel pump connection as I had stretched them a little with my multi meter........
Cleared all the fault codes and the car fired up perfectly!
So, problem solved thank goodness!!!
