Just one last post for everyone who is attending. We have been to the track today and sorted out how the stand is going to look, we have an overflow bit as well. The over flow bit will be for those attending without a 206. You will be directed when you arrive.
When arriving please have your dash pass on display and you wrist band on before you get to the gates. We are gate number 5 so follow the signs.
Rules for the Parade Lap
As agreed the management of this is handed over to the clubs concerned. You
will need to print 100 parade lap disclaimers and run a system in your club
gazebo (or where suitable) where the first 100 participants sign a form and
hand back to you.
You may wish to hand some kind of coloured window pass/sticker to them to
signify they will be taking part. We will not be supplying anything for
this. Please note, if someone is on track without a signed disclaimer and
anything happens you as club official will be jointly responsible for their
presence on track so please ensure your procedure is cast iron.
1 - No helmets required
2 - Any silly track behaviour will see parade lap(s) being terminated -
leave macho stuff for track sessions
3 - Front seat passengers only permitted
Mike - Your club needs to be heading into the inner paddock just as the last
Saxo hits the track (approx 1315-1320), queuing in the inner paddock. You
can head down after the Saxos and be held on the long road down to the
track. Don't get tangled up with the Saxos heading down! YOUR DRIVERS MUST
LEAVE SUFFICIENT ROOM TO ALLOW SAXO'S OUT OR THE WHOLE THING WILL GRIND TO A
HALT. WE CAN SUPPLY SOME YELLOW VESTS FOR YOUR OWN MARSHAL'S. Your drivers
must be well clear of the track and inner paddock after the parade lap(s) to
allow normal track sessions to recommence. Last year the second club were
slow to get down and held things up and it was almost terminated.
Race control at Rockingham are very strict and this has to be run with
precision or they will just cancel it. Two years ago Meganesport parade
laps were binned due to mucking about on track.
The only unknown I have at present is Mad Marks Citroen Xsara may go on
track at 1300 or 1320 or 1350 - tbc
If your club gets in quick you will probably get more than one lap.
Please remember that you are representing 206info so please make sure you keep to the rules of the parade lap, anyone messes up and we will loose it. They have done this before with the Maganes one person p**sed about and the whole club lost their parade lap. So please dont give an excuse to do it to us.
