Hi All,
i have a 2001 206cc 138bhp
i put the car on a fault finder and it told me i had an intermitten crank position sensor.
i have looked every where and cannot find the sensor
could somebody point me into the right direction please.
also the oil temp sensor has also packed in can someone point me to where that is?

top of the gearbox bell housing where it joins engine held in place with single bolt (10mm spanner)

Oil temp is at rear of crank case at cambelt end

The crank sensor is on top of the gearbox but buried under the thermostat housing. You'll need to take the battery and box out to see it.

Looks like this.

 


See the green coolant temp sensor on the left? Directly below that is the crank sensor.

thanks guys
found the little critter.
when i changed the clutch a few months back i only unclipped the wires not taken out the sensor.
looks like i damaged it putting the gearbox back on. Embarassed
