Its an old engineers trick - must be NON bio. I used it on my old TU3 powered 206 to clean out the mucky cooling system - also smelled very nice during the flushing session.

A scoop or capful in the expansion bottle is enough. Drain the system first, fill with plain water just below the minimum level on the expansion bottle then add the washing detergent - top the level up to max mark then refit the cap & run the system up to temperature - remember to set the heater to hot.

Shouldn't make a difference on PSA cars as they don't use the silly clog/leak prone heater valve & control the heat by a flap in the heater box.

Thanks. After draining and filling with plain water do I bleed the system? This so the cooling system is full whilst it's cleaning with no airlocks. I've bled up until now via the top hose going to the heater matrix. I put a rubber glove on (saves scalded fingers) then as soon as the air stops coming out quickly screw the little cap on.

That's another gallon of OAT I'll need to buy!
