Whilst I was doing a light check (what with Winter coming) I noticed the rear fog light was not working. I do have front fog lights and you have to push the end of the indicator stalk round twice for all the fog lights to work, however the rear fog light does not seem to be working.
How can I change the bulb and is it hard to do?

Easy - reach up behind the plastic, untwist the bulb holder (bayonet fit to the lamp housing). Bulb (21W Ba15s) is normal bayonet fit in socket.
Or first depress the metal spring on the side that secures the housing to the bumper and pull it [the housing] out towards the rear(not very long wires though so don't be too enthusiastic about it).

Fuse 6 in the engine bay, 15 amp.
Are you getting the tell tale on the dash lighting up?
Did the foglamp work before you swapped it for a clear one?

Yes it is sorry, only glanced at the wiring diagram. No fuse for the rear. The switch is part of the VAN system which then runs into the BSI and to the fog lamp.
Are you getting the tell tale on the dash?
Take the bulb out, start the engine, turn the dipped beam headlamps on, turn the foglamp switch twice to turn the rear fog on, and check you're getting 12volt at the connector using a multimeter. Also do a continuity check on the earth to make sure that it's connected properly.

Update
Iv traced from rear fog light bunch of wires to the boot. The bunch carries on through the car. There's another bunch of wires coming from the car one it's got a blue plug and nothing's attached to it. Could this be the problem?

You get green fog sign even on first position - that's for front lamps.
Second turn shows yellow circle with black fog light facing opposite dir - that's for the rear fog light. Is that coming up?

Then the fuses should be OK - IIRC, from the fuse goes 2 wires in parallel, one to the cluster indicator and one to the light in the rear.
As macca said, multimeter to the bulb holder and check for +12 on the centre, and continuity to ground on the ring.
Are the terminals clean? Does the centre contact in the bulb holder sit high enough to provide good contact to the bulb?
And a sanity check - does the new bulb actually work? If you haven't - test it - w/ meter, piece of wire and the battery terminals, or put it in a known working spot (brake light/indicator).

Don't try this as they are twin filament connectors for the brake/tail light and you are likely to knacker something else up.
Indicator or reversing connector should be fine though.

Dang, sorry about that one!
I've got LED rears since pretty much day one, so I've never had to change a rear/brake bulb on the 206...
