Engine block now built up by [name removed] with just a couple of odds and ends to finish, and then the car can be tailored for a refit. All I need now is a Helix Clutch, battery, rear hand brake cables to fit my disc axle, sparks, 180 injectors, maybe a few bolts and fluids.

Little update there is currently a hold up in the form of piston to head contact. So much so that turning it over by hand kicked the head up by about 1.5mm, my gasket is 1.7mm thick but this wouldn't have allowed a lot for thermal or kinetic expansion not to mention a quarter of the squish area being blocked from having an even burn. The head is currently with Pug1off as they have done this sort of work to this particular head design before so hopefully a bit of machining to the cylinder head will sort the clearance.

I really want this car back on the road for Pugfest but it really is looking like squeeky bum time in that regard.

Sorry to hear you're having holdups, but that's an inevitable part of every great project!

It will be generic car park time at Pugfest for me, the 180 I'm currently working on will certainly won't reach show appearance mark by that time, but would be great to see you and the lot again!

Great work! Amazing car!
What is that screen you have in it?

Hi Dare the screen is from iceboxautos on ebay

Update on the car there isn't much I can say at this point but shall we just say the engine has ended up in Pug1off's hands to remedy and finish.

Will keep you all updated.

New track rods and ends arrived today. Didn't seem to have a rubber dust cover unless the plastic thing counts which I doubt. Also ordered MTEC dimpled and grooved discs with the protective coating which should arrive soon.

Rushworth have my cylinder head and 106 rallye inlet which is being port matched to the Spoox inlet gaskets so there isn't a step hindering air flow.

Seeing Pez soon to swap over suspension and then should start putting everything back together.

I'm currently in the process of replacing my cracked manifold so while I've got the subframe off and access to everything I'm going to swap everthing. What sort of job is changing the inner track rods like? Not seen anyone do them just the ends.

It’s easy spike. Easier than the ends I would say, as long as there not to rusted!

I would imagine it’s a subframe off or engine out job. Have you got problems with it?
