Has anybody noticed on any 206 with ABS, it kick in under light braking just as the car is nearly stationary?? it literally kicks the pedal twice and then stops!!

mine has done this a couple of times in different conditions both dry and wet and at different points on journeys, but not all the time Smile

binding rear drum maybe??

Never had that one yet.

I can emergency brake assist the car to a stop without the abs cutting in at all Laughing

Mine had a cracked ring on the shaft and at 100mph+ the ABS light would come on and and occasionally when parking it would trigger the ABS.

So up the ramps the car went and this is what I found.

Edward - did your ABS light go out after that as mine did not, even though I got a new ring.

After a restart the light would always go off.

Maybe my sensor is naffed then, as my fault still comes up but the car is running fine now with a new CV Joint / ABS Ring. The initial problem I had was speedometer intermittently showing incorrect readings and the brakes went a bit d***ky like I was braking on snow.

Does that mean yours is one of the cars that have the speedo operated by an ABS sensor? They don't all work like that.

G. Seen some on Ebay for about £10 recently. I opted for a new CV Joint instead (where the ring is attached) for about £20-£25.

This ring may fit depending on your model/year ABS Ring
