last 2 weeks my car when hot anywhere between 70 -90c it starts to show the oil and stop light, this only happens when the rev counter is idle and drops to around under 800 rev's it will come on , as soon as the car itself goes over 800 or you rev the car it turns off. i checked the cars oil and there is like 2mm over the max marker, i think its leaking somewhere as i get a small stain under the car every morning -.-, and just recently had oil leaks fixed

people and garages overfilling oil is one of my pet hates. ive lost count of the amount of times ive picked up a car after its service and have had to make them drain some out before i drive off. one time it was over 1.5cm above the max mark.

first step is drain some out, i like it afew mm under the max mark.

you might well find that the light goes off when the pressures reduced a bit

Please Dont take any of my posts as written fact. They are simply my opinion and although to the best of my knowledge true, the information within them may well be incorrect.

Any work you undertake as a result of my posts is done so at your own risk Smile

check the oil pressure, before knowing the oil pressure is fine do not use your car.

2mm over the max make is just nothing serious.

when engine is hot and idle, the oil pressure is at it's min. state. running the engine without enough oil pressure is asking for trouble

Have you checked the oil pressure is correct with a pressue gauge?

Running the engine with low oil pressure = bend over & Vaseline time Wink

Until the oil pressure is known to be correct dont start the engine Rolling Eyes

that why i said before check the oil pressure lol

any garage could do that easily.

running low oil pressure is just like running the engine without oil.
