Am I misreading that? It sounds to me like you fixed it? How much did you pay for the spark plugs. They are £21 at Halfords, is that a decent price? ( I have a GTi though so I think they are different size).

Those are FR78X which won't fit a GTi. I found out recently that I need FR78NX, just got some on Ebay for £15. Bargain really. The key was to find out what model Bosch plugs I needed as a search for Bosch Super 4 Peugeot 206 GTi didn't really bring up many hits but typing in Bosch FR78NX, brought up quite a few.
