Had my car diagnosed by 2 other people 1 of them a very reptable company all for free as i do there IT for them.

but the error that keeps popping up is

Rpm sensor

neither of the companys seem to know what it is but can only guess crank or cam sensor witch both have been replaced.

I called pug they don't know they just ask to diagnose the car them selfs witch im sure it will say the same and they still wont know.



so any 1 got a clue? could it be that the sesnors i replaced 1 of them was faulty from new?

i didnt know there was an RPM sensor?

imo its most likely to be the Throttle position sensor, idle control valve, or MAP sensor, they all help to control the RPM

not 100% sure though becuase ive never heard of that fault before lol

I think the crank sensor is called an RPM by Peugeot...try changing the crank sensor...only about £15 I think...

Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, DP Engineering thermostat housing. Very shiny. 2006 VW Jetta 2.0 TDi Sport for everyday use. 2008 207CC 1.6 GT.

lol, we know the error, but what is the actual problem with the car, it might help to narrow it down

i went to pug and got another crank sensor for free Smile
didnt fix the problem tho,
basicaly as you drive and hold the throttle it hesitates and ou cant hold it at an rpm you have to go through the revs witch makes doing 30 , 40 , 50 , 60 , 70 hard to do if you want to stay at that speed.

hmm that is odd, doubt it would be the idle control valve then, maybe the throttle position sensors giving fluctuating readings? I would have thought that would have flagged up as a TPS code and not RPM though

It's CAN its fine.

You want to hope it's not the TPS, the cheapest i've found for a replacement is a pug dealer at 123quid, eurocarparts don't even stock them and andrew page motor factors where asking for more than that.

sesnor that have been replaced with NEW
coolent, crank sensor, cam sensor, TPS, Idle control valve, Air Temp sensor, 1 injector, o2 Sesnor and the map sensor
center exhaust pipe, rear box, spark plugs
also checked the timing yestaday

running out of things to change

Might be just the throttle thats messed up
