hi
does any one know if there's any difference in height (ie from bottom to just beneath the grille) between a base model bumper and a gti bumper?

christ, i thought the 106owners forum was a joke.....
yes, i do see 206's on the road, but usual problems are -
1) if im on the road 99.9% of the time i'm moving
2) i don't carry a tape measure whilst driving
3) i don't want to risk a £30 fine for lack of seat belt whilst leaning out of said car hoping for a lucky measure on a passing 206.
4) i think the insurance would think i'm taking the p**s when i write on the claim form - "reason for accident - tried measuring a bumper"

No need to get arsey, the chap's just asking.
There's not a lot of difference as the gap of the grille is deeper, which gives the impression of a smaller height to the floor but that's because the sides of the bumper are flared and gti models are slightly lower to the ground because of the lowered suspension as standard.

Cheers for the more helpful posts. I'm guessing that there's minimal height difference looking at them pics
