Owning a 206 is getting very expensive.
I now have a knocking coming from the rear drivers side when driving over a uneven road surface.
The car also squeak when you push it up & down at the rear.
I have had a lot of work done on it lately and it has probably been jacked up & down about 15 times in the last 3 weeks.
I took it to Kwik Fit who do a free suspension check and they said it was the rear shocks which has probably been caused by the amount of times it’s been jacked up.
Is it likely to be the Shocks?
I have heard that the rear axle trailing arm bushes failing is a common fault on these cars!
I hope it isn’t that!
I can move the wheel a little back and forth when on the ground!
I think it is the Trailing Arm Bushes and not the Shocks.

Damm!
I thought so!
I have found a company that does reconditioned ones for £350 but are they easy to change for someone who is quite good at DIY on Axle Stands!
Is there a walkthrough/Video anywhere?

Dampers do not fail because of the car being jacked up a few times!

I have a similar problem. My drivers side rear wheel is turning right, has a large looking camber and the ride has become rock solid.
I found a great video Youtube axel repair
It'll cost 30 quid for two repair kits and looks like a fairly straight forward job... I think i'll also lower the rear and fit new shocks whilst i'm at it.
