A nice confusing one here.
I have a 1.4 HDI 2004 with drum brakes, com2000 and abs
Brought a rear axle off of a pre plex, abs, gti with disc brakes (at the time didn't know they would have different abs systems)
Then realized that the plex and pre plex run a different abs system on the back. So i brought some rear hubs from a plex gti and stuck them onto the axle along with abs sensors and it all runs fine.
Need shock absorbers for the back probably OEM don't really mind. Having a look on euro car parts there are two different part numbers for shock so what is the difference between the two shocks and will they still fit onto my axle.

I 'm pretty positive rear shocks are compatible accross 206 models regardless of anything else.
But someone might confirm/laugh accordingly.

it looked like they were, when i removed a rear axle with lee, but whenn looking on peugeot they all have different part numbers..

Is what i thought, plus when looking on eBay for aftermarket shocks they appear to be the same for all models.
Best place to get them? I was planning euro car parts.

Yeah the part numbers are different and the specs will be different (firmer/softer?) too.
However, I mean you can fit them accross the range if you want as size & fittings are compatible.

Ordered the ones for a GTI, refurbished the axle and fitted them all is well.
I did plan to taking some pictures and making a guide/video whilst doing it but dint get a chance as it was a busy day. All in all was fairly easy from a mechanical point of view just heavy work sledding hammering it apart. Took about 14 hours in total but i did take the hole thing off and paint it up.
Only problem i came across was that the left hand side has a larger bearing in it, when phoning the Peugeot garage they said that there was no such thing and every 206 has the same bearings on both side so mine must be after market. After phoning around i found that very old GTI and CC had a larger (50mm) bearing in the left had side apposed to the standard 47mm bearing.
