Strange one - well to me anyway - maybe this is a Pug thing dunno....

anyway - the plastic on my dipstick has all come off - leaving just the metal - so cannot get an accurate reading.

Not got another one yet - but wondered if anyone knew how far to put it - so as to give a similar reading to when the plastic stopper was still there.

Maybe someone has a measurement from the end to the plastic??

This would allow me to get some idea.......better than guessing till I find a new one.

If any of this made sense...... Smile

Meant to say - I am not talking about the type of dipstick with the plastic on the end - ie. in the sump - mine is all metal - it's the top part that has come away - the handle.......
