Last night we were out in the 180 when a badger decided that an opportune moment to cross the road was when we were right on top of the thing!
We were only in 2nd gear doing about 40ish but it made one hell of a bang, fortunately for the badger it was a clean kill and no suffering (went back to move him out the road & pick up bits).
Damage so far seems to be limited to the front bumper, left fog lamp, SP grille, rego plate, a bit of the arch liner and what I assume was a vacuum accumulator for the warm/cold air intake flap which would be of no consequence if it was since the car came with no airbox and a K&N cone that sucks nice warm air from behind the rad at all times 
Not sure if it's knocked the tracking out at all since the left wheels did go over poor Mr Brock's carcass but seemed to drive fine still and no rad or condensor damage. Could've been a whole lot worse if we'd been going 5mph slower or if he'd run out a split second earlier as we would've creamed him dead-centre, likely smashed the cooling system and probably just mortally wounded him to run off and suffer for hours.
Not nice killing an animal with a car, but small mercies it was a clean kill like I say & not too bad of damage for how solid and chunky badgers are, they're like 20kg of solid muscle with teeth attached! (Yes, I did make 110% sure he was a goner and not just stunned before I picked him up, they have a bite to shame a pit bull not to mention carrying diseases!)
Ah well, 180 was coming off the road end of summer for some tidying up and maintenance anyway so it's just made that list a little longer. Cue the black TD for a winter beater haha!
