#1: Car lowering -Cumbria? Author: R4CH3L, Location: CumbriaPosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 10:11 am ---- Hey guys,
Got some 40mm springs for the pug and wanting to lower the front and back...
Anyone know anywhere in or around Cumbria that would do it for me on a budget?
Also, do i need anything else apart from the springs to get it lowered, such as shocks? or are they not needed.
Cheers, Rach

in future try a search as these topics are asked more frequently than anything else

#6: Re: Car lowering -Cumbria? Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 4:58 pm ---- i paid £70 in portsmouth to get mine done
#7: Re: Car lowering -Cumbria? Author: drunknmunky, Location: Blackburn and CatterickPosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 4:59 pm ---- it is kind of when there are people who do it for £100 but they are usually poeple working for themselves doing it kind of thing
where as your £200 is with a garage i bet so you would have a fall back if it was to go wrong at some point im guessing?
so its a case of which is better and also will you travel to get it done it probably works out about £140 with travel to get it done off someone :/
#8: Re: Car lowering -Cumbria? Author: coopskin, Location: Hull, East YorkshirePosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 4:59 pm ---- £200 including the torsion bar is a good and fair price in my opinion!
#9: Re: Car lowering -Cumbria? Author: meady, Location: basingstokePosted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 5:02 pm ---- £200 seems bloody expensive to me, i dont know anyone that has paid over £100 for it top be done

Author: SDK206, Location: Earth, most of the time!!Posted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 5:08 pm ---- £200 quid in cumbria is fair enough, remember those back axles can be an a**e so to do full car is not bad!! i did enough of them when i was in the trade in cumbria so for a few hours graft its not bad

He won't "need" shocks but would be advised, know plenty of people on 40mm springs without changing the shocks and they are fine.

#18: Re: Car lowering -Cumbria? Author: D4NTP, Location: Not Leeds or its surrounding areas!Posted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 6:35 pm ---- £200! forget that, i paid £190 for supply and fit front springs and lower the rear. That was at a semi reputable garage. I suppose it's supply and demand really, if there aint many places that do it in cumbria, either cough up or take a drive further south for the day.
