Hi all, Im new to this site. Ive had my 2001 peugeot 206 LX 1.4 for a few years.
Ive got in it today and as soon as i take my foot off the accelarator i get this ticking sort of noise coming from under the bonnet. As soon as i put my foot on accelarator again it goes.
Anyone have this problem? Any ideas??
Muchly appreciated.
Tracy

I have the same thing happening in my car.
When I let the car Idle I hear a slight ticking noise from what seems like the dashboard.
My ticking noise doesn't come from the Engine bay but the dashboard, very odd aye!

Open bonnet and start engine. Either rev the engine by hand on the throttle body (just turn the pulley the cable runs round) or ask a friend to sit in the seat and rev it. Be careful of the moving belt on the left hand side of the engine. See if you can hear the noise and pinpoint a better location in the engine bay.
