This is Peugeot's 1st year in the SA rally championship. The car is the excact one used in the IRC except it is adapted for SA condition as we only have gravel rallies.

This past weekend I was in Knysna and George for the SA Rally - Garden Route leg.
Friday it was wet and cold and on Saturday it was warm and sunny. This was probably the toughest rally this year and cars struggled for grip and very twisty roads leaving no margin for any errors.

Nice pictures and videos there. That photographer was lucky! I always wondered what happened Conrad Rautenbach after he disappeared from WRC. I seen his name on the results. Pity he didn't get to stay in WRC, I remember being behind him in traffic during Rally GB 2009 and he stalled twice at traffic lights! Very Happy

The funny thing is after the photographer got nearly hit by the Polo, more people went to that spot to take photos of cars Laughing

With the addition of Conrad Rautenbach and his Fiesta and the Peugeot 207 S2000 the SA rally has really become competitive. Conrad Rautenbach himself said earlier this year after complaining about road conditions on one stage that is the competitiveness and challenging terrain that he is competing over here.

In the service park he walked past me while I was standing next to my car. He gave a smile and nodded his head. I was a bit star struck Embarassed I still wanted to ask him how his Fiesta S2000 differs from the WRC Focus and if he has plans on returning to the WRC?
