Here goes...
A while ago I noticed coolant in the footwell which I know to be indicative off a heater matrix. I was going to bypass (was a huge job on my volvo v40 t4) but I heard it was easy. I ordered one and waited for a dry weekend...
Coolant loss was slow, but I noticed a leak under the engine bay, so I monitored and topped up. It got worse, and I knew the core wasn't that bad (no swimming pool) so I figured gasket or hose.
Cheap checks shows gasket is probably okay. Coolant loss became more dramatic, and I stopped everything except my short drive to work and I started carrying lots of water.
Anyway...finally got in this weekend and took the hoses off. The bottom radiator hose had a lovely inch long split near where it joins the engine.
Easy job to replace, but not an easy hose to track down. Also I live in the isle of man, so demon tweaks want £40 postage for anything other than slooow means which is no good.
It seems that a few posts places list a hose 6464xn as compatible, but it doesn't look the same on the few pictures available. It appears that the hose for the gti 180 is different; four connection points which I assume is for a heat exchanger.
Anyway, local breakers are not going to have one; there are less than half a dozen of these cars on the island. I am having trouble locating and establishing exactly which hose is correct. Am I being simple? Some breakers websites suggest it is the same on all 2.l engines. Others don't.

No local main dealer...there is a European car dealer that does a bit with peugeot, but they were closed. Waiting to hear back. Tried checking from my vin but no luck.

I wouldn't bother with a second hand hose. You don't know how long it will last.

Solved. Local branch ordered. Cost me over 70 quid and I had to wait a few days. Samco hose set was cheaper, but would be dispatched for nearly a month so hand was forced.
Fitted it roadside without jacking the car up and by mobile phone light. I can't wait to have a garage.
Highlight was when I pulled the hose from the radiator, and over my face. Not my favorite January job.

Yes, though I am on water until the weekend when it will get a full service. I am carrying distress and watching closely until then, but the first time it came to temp seemed to push the air out. I have done a few ruins since and it is bang on 90.
Now I need to find an air intake hose as mine split as I was securing it. Literally the last job of the night. Taped for now.
