I have started to have problems with my 206 (2005) 1.4HDI. When i accellarate above normal the engine light comes on and using my reader I get the code P1160 (and power loss).. If i reset the light using reader everything works ok until i accellerate above normal and it comes on again.. When i rev the engine hard whilst stationary i get no engine light but a very sooty driveway..

Please help as im lost as that code is not on any lists that i have..

Thanks ,, Neil

Just done a google search and this is all that comes back - for a 307cc - no idea if fault codes on pugs are the same across the range though.

Could be the sensor, it could also be the wiring.

The fault code just tells you where to start looking under the bonnet Wink

Think we have solved the problem.. Air filter was found to be split but i had a spare one so replaced it. Due to the soot around the split i took off the air flow meter and it was very black. Cleaned with contact cleaner and reset the ecu with my laptop. Cant get the fault to re-occur.so fingers crossed..

thanks to all
