Hi guys and girls, I've got a 2001 y reg lx with the electric mirrors and windows switch, it has the A on the drivers side button for the window but it has never worked. It seems to be just a normal switch.
Is there any way to get this working? I'm thinking the owner before me may have installed the switch but I'm not sure if a lx is suppose to have it?
Thanks for your time

What happens if you give the drivers switch a quick press down?

It should have one shot window as it was standard fit on the LX of this vintage.
You giving the switch a light or hard press?
Just gently tap the switch.

I guess your switch is not the original one,and your window regulator don't have the "Auto" function, and it's not a easy job to do by the way,so keep it as it's

Have you reset the one shot auto? pull the switch labelled A up to do the window up then hold the switch in the pulled up position for 5 seconds then try the auto feature

I just tried what you said mattie, when I hold it up for 5 seconds i hear a click, I then tap it to go down but the windows doesn't do anything, I tap it two or three times more then it starts working but just goes down a little bit like before?

dont tap it mate, push it all the way as the switches have 2 stages. the first is non auto and the second which is a full press is auto.

That would blow the fuses if that happened
Like Mattie said, the switch has two stages. Pull/push it all the way, you can feel the switch 'click' when its in auto function.
