Hy everybody, i'll cut to the chase:

It took me a while to get used to the temperature changes in my 206 but i was told everything is okay and that this is a normal thing for a pug to do (70 deg on a highway, 90-100 in the city).
When i get home\to work etc. and park with engine running the temp will start rising until it'll hit 102 degrees and then the fan will come on and lower the temp to about 90, BUT if i turn the engine off the fan will not come on and i can see the temp rising allmost to the red area Shocked ..
Now allot of 206xsi owners have told me that this is a normal behavior, but it just doest seem right to me..

by the way i live in a warmish country and the summer just hit us.

p.s. could it be that i dont have a thermostat at all?..

Yeh exactamoly, but i don't think that is the matter, as a friend of mine with an XSi also reports a similar behavior, i'm just looking for a confirmation from you guys..

Hy, i'm quite aware of that trick, but there's no need for it as my fan will work if the engine is running, but will fail to turn on if the engine is off, is it possible that i just jave a faulty connector or unit that triggers the fan once the engine is off?

Ok so after i did ome digging up and asked some friends, i think i'v got it, i believe the relay that is supposed to turn on the fan when the engine is off is not doing it's job and should be fired and replaced with a better employee.
I'll also check the relays that are ment to control the fan speeds, there should be two fan speeds as i understand, low and high, donnow if they're working.

Well my dear friend I can see you're from the UK, i dont think temperatures there reach up to 35° Celsius (95° Fahrenheit) Wink they do here.. and with that kind of climate - the fan will work overtime.
And on that note - i envy you (though i like a good summer day too Smile )

My non air con 1.1 will keep the fan going but on a very low speed if it was running before I turn the engine off, not sure if it's different on air con models?

Thats great, it means it's working like it should, like I want it to work in my 206, what you just described tells a couple of things -
1. your low speed fan unit\relay is working fine
2. your "engine off fan control" unit\relay is working fine

good for you Smile
