I have a squeaky brake pedal, its definitely nothing to do with the actual brakes them selves but literally just the brake pedal. what should I do, will some WD40 do the trick and if so how would I do this?

Just spray some pentrating oil or grease on the pedal

Careful where you spray lubricant, dont get it anywhere near the actual foot brake itself. Get it on the mechanism behind the foot brake itself.
