Fitted GTi 180 brakes and Cupra R splitter over the weekend - will try and get some photos up soon. I'm not too happy with the pedal travel with the new brakes so am fitting the 180 master brake cylinder next weekend.

The normal 1.4 size is 19mm, and the 180 is 22mm I believe. TBH, I don't know how much difference it'll make, the caliper/disc setup has massively improved it over the standard though, well worth it. I saw your other thread on this did you get your problem sorted?

Which bit are you wondering about?
I manged to get hold of a 180 cylinder for £25 posted which I was happy about. Tried to fit it today but the brake pipe unions are different sizes! The standard is 10mm, and the 180 is 12mm. So, I'm going to look into cutting a thread into the larger union and fit them this way. Shouldn't be too difficult if all things go to plan.

People did warn me against putting it on the parcel shelf! I agree, it's a bit chavvy but I didn't want it taking up my boot space. Also it's quite heavy and caused the shelf to sag in the middle, so I used aluminium angle to support it (you can see the bolt heads in the picture along the back edge).
