i have still to get the car, but i thought as i know what car im getting i would be abit different, and start a thread before buying the car, i have seen one im interested in and all being well i will have it by monday (7th Nov) at the very latest.
so this is the car im looking at getting:

so with that in mind and the fact im getting a 206 HDi GTi even if this one is sold in the mean time i have started collecting a few parts:
A brand new unused ashtray, that i was going to modify into an ipod dock, with a carbon lid, as it came with an unused lighter plug as well i might keep these incase i ever get rid of the car i can replace the older ones.

as i loved the push button start in my old 206 i thought it do the same to this one, only this time i will actually disconnect the wires (last time i just tapped into them, allowing it to still start on the key), but with a bullet or spade connecter so if the button ever fails i can re-enable the key start
short stubby aerial, a factory peugeot one.
a lion keyring (this is a 2 fold part, one its a peugeot lion and im a leo so it works on both levels)
flip key mod, becasue i like the idea, no other reason
from the look of the rear pic, it has the silver i so this is to make it look nicer.

Make sure the key is flip key suitable. You need the car to some with the certain key type. Not the round chubby one

3k is a lot to spend on a 206 with 107k miles on it....

Diesels typically hold their value over the petrol counterpart.

Key will be fine no need to worry about that one.
Looks like a nice car just look after it and it should look after you
Wouldnt go for the stubby aerial if you like listerning to the radio, they give rubbish reception as its a GSM aerial.

I was thinking of buying the same start button off ebay but in red led, i was put off by the negative feedback doh and the fact it was from hong kong could take up to 20 days to arrive he said. be interested to hear what the quality is like etc

thisi sfrom the same guy i bought mine from 99.4% feedback, so quite good. yeah its from hong kong but then so are most parts these days.
as for quility, lol. as long as it works till i figure out how to install the push start/stop using a rf transponder (completly keyless system) it will do just fine.

A little update, flip key came today, still not got a car so will have to amuse myself with just letting the blank blade flip out.
Talked to the seller of the car in the first post, and it all looks good, so hopefully by this time Sunday I will have it parked on my driveway.
Next up is styling, I was thinking about doing a chrome contrast, so headlights and foglights are already done, was thinking the chrome led tails, a chrome led brake light and chrome led foglight, oh and chrome led side repeaters, as I'm looking at a different set of alloys (stayin with 16" ) was thinking of getting the new set in chrome.
What you guys think???
Also do those tuning boxes the 100 quid or so ones on ebay actully work, I mean do they give more power, more torque and better fuel econemy

Wouldnt bother with them, you will be better saving for a Re-Map

100% no to the chrome rear lights.
car looks good though! (£3k does seem a lot for a 107k miles car though!)

Good diesels do, these are known for being one of the worst engines/model ever. Diesels hold value for reliability and longevity, which a hdi gti has neither really.
