Yeah, but it is the many, many other faults with the car. And the fact that it has been back 6 times in the 6 weeks of ownership.
Wouldn't trust the garage to repair something like that anyway.
Took them 2 weeks to figure out why the rear light wouldn't work. Less than 3 mins I had figured it out and was fixed within 10.
Can't even trust them to check fluids. Picked up the car (without checking fluids as the car had just been serviced, so I trusted them) the coolant bottle had just plain water and was filled to the very brim and the PAS resivoir was bone dry.

oh the exhaust noise is common on 2.0 if its a rattle its a loose heat shield

Exhaust system is all spot on.

Thanks all for the help. Shame that (yet again) my 206 ownership is full problems, but that is what you get buying French!

No, I drive an Alfa!! So does the wife. The Pug's are for the younger generation of our family (and a Clio).

the 1.4 Hdi is going back on the road, mainly to help my son practice for his impending driving test.

Now it's been sitting forlornly in the car port since May last year. I drove it out about July, and washed it, but then the battery went flat.

Fitted new battery last Saturday, when it was -6 Shocked , and car started first time!!! Laughing

I'm back ... and the 206's are breeding! Wink 1.4 HDi and now a Cayman Green 2.0i CC
