Just bought this on tuesday after selling my beloved Saxo Vts a few weeks before, had some lexus lights on it which were swiftly removed. Its got a cheap induction kit which i plan to get rid of once i've checked everything over and a stainless powerflow system which strangley seems well made if a little bit loud for me. There is a little tiny dent in the boot (can just see it in the picture) which i'm looking to sort out in the next week or so, otherwise the bodywork is very clean and tidy! Not sure what the plans are at the moment apart from get the bodywork up to scratch, wheel refurb, lower it and give it a good service! Any comments welcome, also put a couple of pictures of the Saxo up if any body is interested in that!

Nice 180 you got there mate and saxo  i too had a vts before the 206. You've def chose the right colour 180!

I do like my 180 but I miss my VTS big time!
Nice VTS & 180 bud,
I never got it when I was younger, why people went back to VTS's from 180's/182's ect but I do now, they are just so much fun & cheap to fix if they go wrong. I miss the raw urgency, handling and rasp of my VTS  Hard to find good'ns.
Enjoy the 180 mate! They're good bang for buck now days!

Thanks for the comments guys! Planning to keep the car for a fair while if all goes to plan so should have a few updates over time! Any opinions are welcome of course!

I do know what you're saying, i loved the way my Vts drove, the power delivery, the handling, how clean it was. Really had some good times in that car! But i'd got to the stage where i'd owned it for a while, and to get the spec i'd have really wanted out of it would have cost another 3-4k. Couldn't justify that so decided to get something a bit newer etc, and here it is. Thanks for the comment

See where the ABS cable comes through the front wheel arch? That seam behind the arch liner is a favourite to rust these days it seems so get some waxoyl or something on it.
Rear disc shields look better if cleaned and painted silver too.

Cheers much appreciated. Did the same sort of thing to the Saxo when i got it. They like to rust in similar places if left too. About the shields, you're completely right, planning to paint them when i overhaul the brakes. Thanks again!

Got the car back from the bodyshop today, the boot has been sorted, can't see it in the pictures because of the number plate, but the holes/any imperfections have been sorted ready for my plates to go on next month. Also been giving the engine bay a bit of a scrub, need to polish the inlet manifold next i think!

Been fairly busy on my days off, got round to sorting my knackered original discs/pads.
I have replaced with the following
Brembo OE replacement discs
Ferodo Premier pads
Exact brake lines all round.
Fresh fluid.
Everything painted
A couple of pics of how they look now
What they looked like before i started
Also took the exhaust off to give it a polish/paint up the bits where the stainless isnt polished and get it sitting right.
Had the rear arms painted too.
Also made a start on paint correction, still a way to go but have managed to remove 95% of swirls, got a few slightly deeper scratches to attend to next!
A couple of pictures after....
Also managed to fit my cupra splitter, may be able to see it in a couple of the pictures, but im sure you all know what they look like! Oh and painted my engine cover because i hated the silver...

Been fairly busy at work so not had much time to work on the car, however i have managed to sort my sp grills, swap my number plate over, fit my coilovers/rear shocks and a couple of smaller bits and bobs. Waiting for my trailing arm bearings to arrive at Peugeot then i will be lowering the rear, hopefully everything will have settled in by then.
Decided to go for AP coilovers in the end, i don't need an expensive track set up for the use the car will be getting, and after reading lot's of reviews these seemed to be a good compromise between a good ride and price. So far i'm happy, in all honesty they are barely and bumpier/crashy than the standard shocks & springs, and the roads round here are terrible!
Anyway, some pictures....as always comments welcomed

Should have done the disc vents and hibs in silver...makes them stand out more through the wheel.
