Hello, I am from Cyprus and I have a 2004 Peugeot 206 and lately the front wipers stopped working.
I took the car to my local electrician and he told me that there is a fault in the BSI.
He tried soldering it but could not fix the issue.

I found on ebay this www.ebay.com/itm/298056313525 which matches my BSI part numbers. Will these parts be compatible with mine? Do all part numbers from BSI BSM and ECU need to match?

Please do not recommend taking it to the Peugeot Workshop in Cyprus because they informed me that they want more than 800 euros to fix it.

All help is welcome.

Hi, your ECU is Sagem, so a donor with Bosch ECU will not connect.

You should match the engine ECU as close as possible to the hardware IDs, or at least match the exact engine and injection type.

To transfer all the vehicle config options, it's worth writing down all the BSI/ECU settings via PP2000, then comparing them once the donor setup is in.

Note that donor units will cause another VIN being reported to smart code readers.
And if you won't fit the donor's instrument cluster, car's odometer will be set to whichever is the highest (your car's or donor's).

PS: just to cover all bases: has the 30A wiper fuse 17 in the engine fusebox been checked?

The wipers park position is controlled by the BSI unit plus the front wipers also have a service position at the mid point again controlled by the BSI unit.

Once the electrical repair has been carried out I'd be tempted to lift up both front wiper arms clear of the screen then check the front wipers still work correctly & also park correctly.
