Hi I have a 55 plate 206 and its started making a 'whirring noise when i turn left. Id doesnt happen when i turn right or go straight ahead just left.
The car itself works perfectly, touch wood!, just a bit concerned that it may develop into something serious....any suggestions???
thanks

Could be a wheel bearing.

Is the cambelt due to be changed?
My whirring noise was cured by a cambelt change, may have been coincidence, but better safe than sorry.

Haven't got a pic but we all know what they look like. |
Being the picky sort - I really hate it when people say this. Yes we all know what it looks like - but we all want to see the condition that yours is in! | |

If its only doing it one way, sounds like a wheel bearing, possibly something to do with power steering, but I would check the wheel bearings first!
