Could any of these be a cause of my problem? Black smoke between 1000 - 2000 rpm with engine resisting to acceleration? Just to say, I'm not running red!

Im just using fuel that everyone else uses, its just from a guy who is a truck driver . i wouldnt put red/bio in as it wouldnt run

It would run with red, and I assume the truck driver is nicking it from his fridge tank?

Probably. My dad bought a 406 2.0 HDI and its unbelievably fuel efficient, he only goes to the petrol station once every month or so 
Also my car likes hunting, rabbits mostly but it has gone for a cat once but I couldn't stop it in time.
