Hi folks, wow this forum is a god send.
Soooo, i bought a relatively cheap 206 Hdi Turbo diesel, 2001, for £900 around 3 months ago as we needed a cheap run around. So far i've had to get the brakes done and a new accelerator cable, its done 142k miles so i guess a few faults are to be expected. Wifey thinks it a bag of crap but i'm convinced its not too bad! Razz

The latest issues is that the anti pollution warning has come up 2-3 times over the last week and yesterday i'm assuming the vehicle went into limp mode as i cannot go above 2k rpm, the car has very little power. It did this briefly about a week a go but was ok the next day.

So, where do i start??? - i guess first up can anyone recommend a scanner reader i need to read the fault codes ? - I think i have the multiplexed if that means anything judging by my radio stalk (read that on here somewhere earlier)

W ould this cheapy do the job www.ebay.co.uk/itm/U48...543wt_1171

Many thanks for your replies Very Happy

A 2001 diesel isnt EOBD compatible so a cheap scanner wont touch it, take it to a garage / someone with Peugeot Planet & get the codes read.

If you are only getting your codes read once, it's not worth buying a reader.
