Hey Guys,

My old 206 failed it's MOT and needs £750 of work done to it, as you can guess I don't want to pay that.

How do I fix the Airbag warning light being constantly on?

How do I fix the lose indicator stalk? (When coming off of right indicate, it goes onto left instantly)

The Headlamp aim is too low, it won't adjust. How do I fix that?

All with ease!!

Find out which airbag and cut connections and solder them together, probably going to be a seat airbag!!

Buy new comms or a second hand one!

Take the headlight out realign and then realign the bulb, failing that buy a new light!

Total cost about £50-100!!

Sounds like the garage is trying to take you for a mug, £750 is a joke for what needs fixing!
The comms is the easiest fix there, half hour job, do it yourself and pick up a second hand comms, just make sure you pick up the correct one.

Oh, those are the only fixes I need help with, the rest are tyres, gaiters, ball-joints, ect.. There was 12 things it failed on, but I only need to know how to do one!

Before you go too far fiddling with airbags, disconnect the pretensioner connector below the seat and check it's clean and free of corrosion.

Obviously some would suggest this be done with the battery disconnected and left for several minutes.

Airbag light due to the connector under the seat has long been a problem with a lot of cars, but particularly Peugeots of the '6' era

206 hasn't got pretensioner connections under the seat.

The pyrotechnic seatbelt pre tensioners on the 206 are fitted to the seatbelt reel inside the B pillar & very rarely give any problems.

Fair enough, I stand corrected!

Always were a PITA on the 306 - looks like Peugeot actually fixed something on the 2 then!
